Gilani Reaffirms Commitment to Transparency and Accountability in Senate Report Presentation


Islamabad: Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, was presented with the Annual Report of the Senate Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue by its Chairman, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla. The report covers the Committee’s activities from March 2025 to March 2026, focusing on financial transparency and oversight.



According to Senate of Pakistan, the report details the legislative, oversight, and policy initiatives undertaken to enhance fiscal transparency, financial accountability, and effective governance. The Committee’s work aims to improve oversight of the national economy and revenue generation.



Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani emphasized the importance of parliamentary oversight in strengthening democratic institutions and ensuring transparency and accountability. He praised the Committee’s proactive approach to examining financial and revenue-related issues, acknowledging its role in improving governance and public trust in democratic processes.
