ISLAMABAD: A coordinated effort by multiple police stations in Islamabad has resulted in the arrest of 12 suspects and the recovery of drugs and weapons, contributing to ongoing efforts to maintain peace in the federal capital.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests were made by teams from the Shalimar, Sabzi Mandi, Khanna, Kirpa, Humak, Shahzad Town, and Bani Gala police stations. The operations led to the seizure of 1,152 grams of hashish, 244 grams of crystal meth, 15 bottles of liquor, and five pistols with ammunition. Legal proceedings have been initiated against those arrested, and investigations continue.
In addition to these arrests, a special campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders resulted in the capture of three additional criminals. This initiative aligns with the directives of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to intensify the crackdown on criminal activities in the area.
SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the police’s commitment to safeguarding the community and preventing any threats to public peace. The Islamabad Police encourages citizens to report suspicious activities to local police stations or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to support crime reduction efforts through community cooperation.
