ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to combat crime, the Islamabad Police have apprehended 12 individuals involved in various criminal activities, recovering drugs and weapons in the process. The arrests were made by teams from the Aabpara, Sangjani, Khana, and Bani Gala police stations, as part of a broader initiative to maintain peace in the city.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operation resulted in the recovery of 30 bottles of liquor and three pistols with ammunition. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspects, and investigations are continuing to uncover further details.
The arrests were part of a special campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders, leading to the detention of eight additional individuals. This campaign aligns with directives from IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, emphasizing a robust crackdown on crime to ensure safety in the federal capital.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza reiterated the police force’s dedication to safeguarding the community, emphasizing that maintaining peace and security is their top priority. He urged citizens to report suspicious activities to the police directly or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15,” fostering cooperation between law enforcement and the public to eradicate crime.
