ISLAMABAD: A meeting chaired by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has led to a decision to install advanced machinery at airports to enhance the efficiency of the screening process. The initiative aims to streamline the passenger checking system by establishing joint counters and introducing a unified checking system.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting also reviewed the progress of e-gates installation. Interior Minister Naqvi emphasized the importance of providing faster clearance and easier travel facilities for passengers. He noted that joint checks by all agencies using a single scanner would save time and that improved coordination among agencies could reduce crowding and waiting times at airports. The minister reiterated the government’s commitment to offering modern, fast, and convenient travel facilities to the public.
