ISLAMABAD: In a recent crackdown on criminal activities, the Islamabad Police have arrested 20 individuals and confiscated a significant amount of drugs and weapons. The arrests were carried out by various police teams from the Tarnol, Sabzi Mandi, Shams Colony, Nilore, and Bhara Kahu police stations.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, eight individuals were apprehended for their involvement in various criminal activities. The police recovered 2,480 grams of heroin, two pistols, a gun with ammunition, and two daggers from these suspects. Legal cases have been filed against the accused, and investigations are ongoing.
Alongside these efforts, a special campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders led to the arrest of an additional 12 criminals. These actions follow directives from IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, emphasizing the department’s commitment to maintaining peace and order in the federal capital.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza reiterated the police’s dedication to safeguarding the lives and property of residents, asserting that no disruptions to public peace will be tolerated. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities to local police stations or via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to aid in the collective effort to combat crime.
