Islamabad Police Arrest Four in Major Anti-Crime Operation

Karachi, In a significant crackdown on criminal activities, Islamabad Capital Police have successfully apprehended four individuals involved in burglary and snatching offenses. This operation led to the recovery of stolen gold ornaments, cash, and weapons used in the crimes.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests were made as part of a city-wide initiative to curb crime, spearheaded by Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan. The operation involved both Shalimar and Nilore police teams, who utilized a combination of technical and human resources to track down the suspects.

In the Shalimar area, the police apprehended Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, identified as involved in house burglary. Gold ornaments valued at two million rupees were recovered from his possession. A case has been registered, and further investigation is ongoing.

The Nilore police team’s efforts led to the capture of three members of a notorious snatcher gang. Identified as Anjum Shahzad, Touqeer, and Bilal, these individuals were reportedly involved in various snatching incidents within the Nilore police jurisdiction. The police recovered snatched cash and weapons from them, and legal proceedings are in progress.

ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan has emphasized the importance of these operations, directing senior officials to intensify efforts against criminal elements. The primary objective is to ensure the safety and security of the citizens, with a special focus on apprehending those involved in theft and snatching activities.
