Islamabad Police Arrest Former Inmate for Drug Peddling, Seize Large Drug Cache

Islamabad, The Khanna police station team of the Islamabad Capital Police successfully apprehended a former inmate involved in drug peddling, seizing a substantial quantity of drugs and liquor from his possession.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrest was made in line with the special directives of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, who has intensified efforts against drug peddlers to eradicate the drug menace from the city. The accused, identified as Ibadat Khan, was found in possession of 240 wine bottles, 1,320 grams of heroin, 210 grams of ice (methamphetamine), and 356 grams of hashish. Following his arrest, cases have been registered against him, and further investigation is underway.

ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan has instructed senior officials to intensify the crackdown on individuals involved in drug trafficking. He stressed the commitment of the Islamabad Capital Police to combat the spread of drugs, emphasizing that no efforts would be spared to protect the youth from the harmful effects of drug abuse. “No one would be allowed to play with the precious lives of our young generation,” he asserted.

This operation signifies a critical step in the ongoing battle against drug peddling and the protection of public health and safety in Islamabad.
