ISLAMABAD: In a series of operations targeting criminal elements, the Islamabad Police have arrested 45 individuals and recovered various drugs and weapons, according to a recent press release.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, teams from the Industrial Area, Sabzi Mandi, and Nilore police stations apprehended four individuals involved in criminal activities. These operations led to the recovery of 1,045 grams of hashish, 165 grams of heroin, a pistol, and a Kalashnikov with ammunition. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspects, and investigations are ongoing.

In addition to these arrests, a special campaign aimed at apprehending proclaimed offenders and absconders resulted in the capture of 41 criminals. This initiative follows directives from the Inspector General of Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as part of a concerted effort to enhance safety and order in Islamabad.

Senior Superintendent of Police Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the commitment of the Islamabad Police to safeguard the lives and property of residents, underscoring that public peace is a priority. Residents are encouraged to report suspicious activities to local police stations or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to strengthen the collaboration between law enforcement and the community in combating crime.
