Pakistan-France Trade and Investment Forum Held in Paris


Paris: A ‘Pakistan-France Trade and Investment Forum’ convened in Paris, facilitating discussions among government officials, business leaders, industry experts, and trade representatives from both nations. The forum aimed to foster economic collaboration and showcase Pakistan’s trade and investment prospects.



According to Press Information Department, the forum was an outcome of a 2024 understanding between President Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to enhance economic ties. Over seventy companies from sectors such as agriculture, information technology, textiles, energy, and tourism participated, exploring bilateral cooperation opportunities.



Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch inaugurated the forum, discussing Pakistan’s economic potential and initiatives to attract trade with France. She urged businesses from both countries to pursue joint ventures. French speakers, including Thierry Pflimlin, Patricia Glasel, and Ardavan Amir-Aslani, emphasized the strengthening economic relations and the need to bolster private sector partnerships.



The event included breakout and business-to-business sessions, focusing on collaboration opportunities in textiles, agriculture, dairy, and information technology.
