ISLAMABAD: In a recent operation aimed at curbing criminal activity, the Islamabad Police have arrested 22 individuals and confiscated drugs and weapons, according to Islamabad Capital Police. Among those apprehended, six individuals were detained for involvement in various criminal activities, with authorities recovering 508 grams of ice and three pistols with ammunition. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspects, and investigations are ongoing.

The arrests are part of a larger initiative directed by Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, to eliminate crime in the capital. As part of this effort, police teams have also captured 16 proclaimed offenders and absconders. The campaign reflects the commitment of the Islamabad Police to maintain public safety and order.

SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, emphasized the police’s dedication to safeguarding the community, stating that disrupting public peace will not be tolerated. Residents are encouraged to report suspicious activities to the police or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to foster collaboration in combating crime.
