ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police, acting on directives from Inspector General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, have escalated their search and combing operations throughout the federal capital. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to reduce crime and target criminal activities within the city.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were carried out under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, with oversight from zonal SPs. During these operations, authorities checked 377 individuals, 166 households, 19 shops, 12 hotels, 177 motorcycles, and 52 vehicles. As a result, two suspicious individuals and 15 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification. Additionally, arrests were made in connection with illegal weapons possession, leading to the recovery of two pistols and related ammunition.

SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that these operations aim to tighten security and suppress criminal elements in the city. He noted that similar efforts are ongoing across different areas, targeting not only criminal elements but also land grabbers and drug dealers.
