Islamabad: Superintendent of Police (SP) Soan Zone Khurram Ashraf has directed an intensified crackdown on criminal activities, focusing on car and motorcycle thefts, robbery, and property crimes, following a comprehensive review of law enforcement efforts in the region. The directive, which emerged from a meeting attended by station house officers from Soan and Rural Zones, also emphasized improving police service delivery standards under the SIPS Protocol.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting chaired by SP Ashraf covered a wide range of topics including the performance of officers, progress in under-investigation cases, and security arrangements. SP Ashraf instructed officers to conduct intelligence-based and targeted operations to dismantle criminal networks and ensure the swift arrest of both proclaimed and habitual offenders. The directive also included a call for the speedy and merit-based resolution of pending cases.

Moreover, SP Ashraf highlighted the importance of enhancing public service delivery at police stations under the SIPS Protocol, mandating officers to handle citizens’ complaints with professionalism and courtesy. He underscored the necessity of applying modern policing practices and maintaining rigorous supervision to prevent crime effectively. Any negligence or complacency in safeguarding public safety and enforcing the law, he noted, would not be tolerated.
