Islamabad Police Arrest 22 Criminals, Seize Drugs and Weapons

ISLAMABAD: A series of police operations across Islamabad have led to the arrest of 22 individuals involved in criminal activities, as well as the recovery of drugs and weapons. These actions underscore the commitment of the Islamabad Police to maintaining peace and safety in the capital.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, coordinated efforts by teams from multiple police stations—Women, Ramna, Shalimar, Tarnol, Sabzi Mandi, Koral, Sihala, Humak, Bhara Kahu, and Phulgran—resulted in the apprehension of 14 suspects linked to various crimes. The operations also led to the seizure of 1,625 grams of hashish, 671 grams of ice, and seven pistols with ammunition. Legal proceedings have been initiated, and investigations are ongoing.

In a separate initiative aimed at capturing proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams successfully arrested an additional eight criminals. This initiative is part of a broader strategy directed by IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to combat crime and uphold public order in the federal capital.

SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza reiterated the police’s dedication to safeguarding the lives and property of residents, emphasizing that any threats to public peace will not be tolerated. The police also encourage citizens to report any suspicious activities immediately via local stations or the “Pucar-15” emergency helpline to foster cooperation between law enforcement and the community in eradicating crime.
