Islamabad: In a concerted move to clamp down on criminal activities, the Islamabad Police have apprehended 17 individuals and confiscated drugs and weapons as part of their ongoing efforts to maintain peace in the capital.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, teams from the Aabpara, Golra, Sumbal, Sangjani, Shams Colony, Khana, Kirpa, Humak, and Bani Gala police stations successfully arrested nine suspects involved in various criminal activities. During these operations, authorities recovered 501 grams of Ice, a dagger, and four pistols with ammunition. Legal cases have been filed against the suspects, and investigations are currently in progress.
Additionally, a targeted campaign to apprehend proclaimed offenders and absconders led to the arrest of eight more individuals. The operations are part of a directive from IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aimed at eradicating crime and ensuring safety in the federal capital.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the police force’s dedication to safeguarding residents and maintaining public order. Citizens are encouraged to report suspicious activities to their local police stations or via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to foster collaboration between the public and law enforcement for a crime-free society.
