President Zardari Embarks on Week-Long Visit to China to Discuss Economic Cooperation

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari begins a week-long visit to China today, accepting an invitation from the Government of the People’s Republic of China. During the visit, President Zardari will meet with provincial leaders in Changsha, Hunan Province, and Sanya, Hainan Province, to discuss bilateral relations, with a primary focus on economic and trade cooperation as well as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

According to Radio Pakistan, the visit is part of a series of high-level exchanges between Pakistan and China, marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations. The discussions are expected to underscore the commitment of both countries to enhance their All-weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
