Islamabad: In an intensified effort to combat vehicle theft, the Islamabad Police Anti Vehicle Lifting Unit (AVLU) has arrested four individuals from a car lifter gang and recovered six stolen vehicles. This operation follows directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aimed at clamping down on criminal activities in the city.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the AVLU team employed both technical and human resources to successfully apprehend the suspects. The arrested individuals have been identified as Zeeshan, Rizwan, Ijaz, and Abdul Malik. Legal cases have been registered against them, and investigations are ongoing to uncover further details about their operations.
The police have urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15”. Authorities emphasize the importance of community cooperation in their efforts to eradicate crime from society.
