Islamabad Police Arrest 13 Suspected Criminals, Seize Drugs and Weapons

ISLAMABAD: In a recent operation targeting criminal activities, the Islamabad Police have successfully apprehended 13 individuals suspected of engaging in various illegal acts. The operation resulted in the recovery of significant quantities of drugs and weapons, including 755 grams of ice, one gun, and five pistols with ammunition.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests were part of an ongoing effort to combat crime in the capital. Seven of the individuals were detained for their involvement in different criminal activities, while six others were rounded up during a targeted campaign against proclaimed offenders and absconders. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused, with investigations currently underway.

Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has emphasized the department’s commitment to maintaining peace and security in the city. The police’s proactive measures are in line with directives to ensure the safety of residents’ lives and property. SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza reiterated the police’s dedication to preventing any disturbances to public order, highlighting that safeguarding citizens remains their primary objective.

The public is encouraged to assist in these efforts by reporting any suspicious activity to local police stations or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.” This collaboration between the community and law enforcement is seen as crucial in the fight against crime.
