Islamabad Police Arrest 11 Suspects, Seize Drugs and Weapons

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested 11 individuals suspected of involvement in criminal activities, recovering a significant quantity of drugs and firearms, authorities announced.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, seven suspects were apprehended with 1,819 grams of heroin, 900 grams of ice, a rifle, a Kalashnikov, and a pistol with accompanying ammunition. Legal cases have been filed against these individuals, and investigations are in progress. Additionally, in a targeted operation to apprehend proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams detained four more suspects.

Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has directed a continued crackdown on criminal elements to maintain security in the federal capital. SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, reiterated the police’s commitment to safeguarding citizens and emphasized that public peace will not be compromised. Residents are encouraged to report suspicious activities to the police or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15,” fostering cooperation to combat crime effectively.
