Intensified Search Operations in Islamabad Lead to Several Arrests and Vehicle Seizures

ISLAMABAD: In an effort to enhance security and reduce crime rates, the Islamabad Police carried out 41 search operations across the city over the past week. The operations were conducted following directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, with the aim of cracking down on criminal activities in the federal capital.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were supervised by SSP Security Operations Islamabad Suleman Zaffar and monitored by zonal SPs. The intensive operations involved the checking of 3,104 individuals, 1,438 households, 246 hotels, 312 shops, 1,588 motorcycles, and 616 vehicles. As a result, 84 individuals deemed suspicious and 139 motorcycles were taken to police stations for further verification.

SSP Security Operations Islamabad emphasized that the primary goal of these operations is to tighten control over criminal elements and improve security measures throughout the city. The operations are part of ongoing efforts by the Islamabad Police to address various criminal activities, including land grabbing and drug dealing.
