Islamabad: Islamabad Police have arrested six individuals on criminal charges, recovering drugs and weapons in the process. According to Islamabad Capital Police, three suspects were caught with 740 grams of hashish, 260 grams of ice, and a pistol with ammunition. Authorities have registered cases against them, and investigations are ongoing.
In a separate campaign aimed at capturing proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams successfully detained three additional suspects. This crackdown aligns with directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to enhance efforts against crime in the federal capital.
Senior Superintendent of Police Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, emphasized the department’s commitment to safeguarding the community. He reiterated that maintaining public peace and protecting citizens remain top priorities. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to local police stations or the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to aid in crime prevention efforts.
