Islamabad: The Pakistan Anti-Corruption Academy (PACA) has conducted its fourth orientation session focusing on money laundering investigation and prosecution for Islamabad’s District Judiciary. The event was held under the guidance of Chairman NAB, Lt Gen (Retd) Nazir Ahmed, aiming to bolster the understanding of anti-money laundering practices and enhance cooperation among judicial and financial entities.

According to Press Information Department, the session was attended by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Muhammad Azam Khan from the Islamabad High Court, who highlighted the importance of the judiciary’s role in dealing with financial crimes. Chairman NAB, Lt Gen (Retd) Nazir Ahmed, emphasized the critical nature of addressing money laundering to preserve economic stability and ensure public accountability.

The session featured insights from Mr. Nasir Sohail, Deputy Chairman NAB, Muhammad Tahir, Director General NAB, and Ms. Noor us Sahar, who provided technical and legal perspectives. Mr. Ghulam Safdar Shah, Director General PACA, discussed PACA’s evolving role in anti-corruption efforts and shared key operational insights.

The program concluded with the distribution of certificates to participating judges and the exchange of commemorative souvenirs, marking a step forward in strengthening the legal framework against money laundering.
