High-Level Iranian Delegation Visits Pakistan’s NDMA Headquarters


Islamabad: A delegation from Iran, led by Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni, visited Pakistan’s National Emergencies Operations Centre at NDMA headquarters in Islamabad. The visit, accompanied by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry and Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam, focused on disaster management and emergency response.



According to Press Information Department, the NDMA team showcased the center’s capabilities and Pakistan’s proactive disaster management systems. Chairman NDMA, Lt Gen Inam Haider Malik, highlighted measures for regional integration and global disaster risk reduction, emphasizing next-generation technologies for early warnings and coordinated response efforts. The delegation acknowledged Pakistan’s excellence in disaster management and expressed interest in continued collaboration between the two countries.



Minister Momeni praised Pakistan’s advancements in disaster risk management, particularly in early warning systems and institutional coordination. He expressed Iran’s interest in learning from these experiences to enhance regional resilience against natural and climate-induced disasters. Both countries emphasized the importance of cooperation to address emerging climate change risks and complex disasters.
