Islamabad, The Islamabad Capital Police and the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Section (INL) have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening their collaboration and enhancing the operational capabilities of the Islamabad Capital Police.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the MoU was signed at the Central Police Office in Islamabad by the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan and the Director of INL. The ceremony was attended by senior officers of the Islamabad Capital Police and officials from INL, marking a significant step in their joint efforts.
The agreement outlines INL’s commitment to provide substantial support to the Islamabad Capital Police, focusing on enhancing their operational capacities. This support includes assistance in resolving technical issues encountered during police operations.
Prior to this formal agreement, INL had already been actively involved in capacity building for the Islamabad Capital Police. They had organized various training courses aimed at improving the skills of the wireless staff and provided technical assistance to upgrade the police communication systems in Islamabad.
This collaboration represents a continued effort to strengthen law enforcement capabilities in Islamabad through international cooperation and expertise sharing.
