Islamabad and Baku Forge Partnership on Climate Action and Disaster Resilience


Islamabad, In a significant move towards international collaboration on environmental issues, Azerbaijan has announced its intention to join forces with Pakistan in combating climate change and enhancing disaster resilience. The collaboration was unveiled during a meeting in Islamabad between the Azerbaijani Ambassador Khazar Farhadov and Secretary of the Ministry of Climate Change, Ezaz A. Dar.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ambassador Farhadov expressed Azerbaijan’s commitment to work closely with Pakistan on these critical global challenges. Secretary Dar reciprocated the sentiment, highlighting the deep-rooted connection between the two nations and pledging Pakistan’s support for the upcoming 29th session of the Conference on Climate Change, which is scheduled to begin on November 11 in Baku.



This partnership underscores the mutual recognition of the urgent need for collaborative efforts in addressing the multifaceted challenges posed by climate change and natural disasters, signaling a shared vision for a sustainable and resilient future.
