Irtaza Hussain Triumphs in 16th Chief of the Naval Staff Amateur Golf Cup 2023

Islamabad, Sindh – Irtaza Hussain emerged victorious in the prestigious 16th Chief of the Naval Staff Amateur Golf Cup 2023. The tournament concluded with a grand closing and prize distribution ceremony at the Margallah Green Golf Club (MGGC) in Islamabad. Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf graced the event as the chief guest.

According to Directorate General Public Relations (Pakistan Navy), the four-day tournament, held from November 9 to 12, saw a major turnout with about 300 golfers from across Pakistan participating. The event featured various categories, including Men Amateurs, Lady Amateurs, Seniors, and Juniors, highlighting its inclusive nature.

Admiral Naveed Ashraf, while addressing the ceremony, extended his congratulations to the winners and lauded their remarkable skills. The Naval Chief praised the high standards of the game, noting that it provided exciting and quality entertainment for the participants. He also acknowledged the untiring efforts of the MGGC staff and organizers, who ensured the seamless conduct of the championship.

Furthermore, Admiral Ashraf appreciated the consistent support from sponsors, the management of MGGC Islamabad, and the media fraternity. He highlighted that their contributions were essential to the event’s resounding success.

The closing ceremony was attended by a host of civil and military dignitaries, including officers, organizers, sponsors, golfers, and members of the media. The 16th CNS Amateur Golf Cup has become a significant event in the golfing circles of Pakistan, bringing together talent and sportsmanship from across the nation.
