Intensified Search Operations in Islamabad Lead to Over 280 Individuals Checked


ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police conducted extensive search and combing operations across the federal capital, resulting in the scrutiny of over 280 individuals. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to enhance security and target criminal elements in the city.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were initiated following directives from Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The operations were overseen by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by zonal SPs. The comprehensive checks included 107 households, 140 hotels, 18 shops, 154 motorcycles, and 82 vehicles. Additionally, 10 individuals and 22 motorcycles were taken to police stations for further verification.



SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized that these operations aim to clamp down on criminal activities and bolster security throughout the city. He noted that similar operations are ongoing in various areas, with a focus on addressing issues related to criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
