Info Minister Asserts Commitment to Peaceful General Elections in Pakistan


Lahore, In a recent seminar titled “Political Participation and Empowerment of Youth, Women, Transgender and Cultural Minorities” held in Lahore, Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi voiced his optimism for the forthcoming government’s focus on fundamental issues and economic reforms. The seminar provided a platform for discussing the inclusive participation of diverse groups in the political process.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Solangi highlighted the caretaker government’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that the upcoming elections, scheduled for Thursday, are conducted in a free and fair manner. From the outset, the caretaker administration has adhered to the Election Commission of Pakistan’s timetable, reinforcing the principle that elections are the cornerstone of democracy.



The Information Minister emphasized the equal rights enjoyed by minorities in Pakistan and their significant contributions to the country’s development. He assured that the caretaker government is dedicated to facilitating a peaceful electoral process, thereby upholding the constitutional mandate that Pakistan shall be governed by its elected representatives.



Solangi also expressed confidence that the caretaker regime would transfer power to the elected government under improved conditions, signifying a smooth transition and the strength of Pakistan’s democratic institutions.
