ISLAMABAD: Industrial Area Police have swiftly apprehended two suspects involved in a significant robbery, recovering the entire stolen amount of Rs. 26 million within 36 hours of the crime.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the incident involved a foreign national who was robbed at gunpoint. Upon receiving the report, the police immediately registered a case and initiated an investigation. Under the direction of SP Industrial Area Zone Dr. Ayaz Hussain, special police teams employed advanced technical resources and investigative techniques to capture the suspects.
The suspects, identified as Aqib and Talat, have a history of involvement in robbery and street crime in the Attock district. The police not only recovered the stolen money but also seized the motorcycle used in the crime, along with weapons and ammunition.
SP Industrial Area Zone Dr. Ayaz Hussain emphasized the commitment of the Islamabad Police to address crimes against foreign nationals and uphold the safety of all citizens. He affirmed that efforts to prevent crime and maintain law and order would continue with increased rigor.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza praised the effective and timely actions of the police team, highlighting their success in apprehending the suspects and recovering the stolen funds.
