Indiscriminate Action Ordered Against Criminal Networks in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, has mandated a comprehensive crackdown on criminal networks, focusing on gangs involved in severe crimes, land grabbing, and illegal weapons, according to Islamabad Capital Police. During a strategic meeting attended by all zonal SPs, SDPOs, and SHOs, the SSP emphasized accountability and directed that any crime within a police station’s jurisdiction would be the responsibility of the respective SHO.

The SSP called for intensified efforts under the “Nasha Ab Nahi” movement to address drug-related offenses and ordered immediate actions to apprehend proclaimed offenders and habitual criminals. Specific attention was given to counter groups involved in vehicle theft, demanding immediate and effective measures.

Further instructions included enhancing night patrolling and ensuring that zonal SPs, SDPOs, and SHOs are available to address citizen complaints from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM daily. The SSP underscored community policing and the resolution of public grievances as priorities. Additionally, the Dolphin Squad’s performance will be reviewed weekly, with incentives for excellence and disciplinary actions for negligence.

The meeting concluded with a call for officers to operate with integrity and dedication, highlighting that only those with commendable performance will remain part of the team. The Islamabad Police reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding citizens and maintaining order in the capital.
