Jammu: Indian troops have launched extensive cordon and search operations (CASOs) in the Udhampur and Kishtwar districts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, according to Kashmir Media Service.
The operations began in the Jopher area of Ramnagar in the Udhampur district. Concurrently, a search operation was also initiated in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar district. As of the latest reports, these operations remain active.
Recent activities by Indian troops in the region have seen an increase in CASOs, which have been criticized for creating distress among the local population. Reports from the area suggest these operations have led to concerns over enforced disappearances and extrajudicial actions against Kashmiris.
The ongoing situation continues to draw attention as tension persists in the region.
