Islamabad: The Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, announced that the government is focusing on the development of quality seeds to improve crop yields and enhance farmer prosperity. The initiative aims to address food security challenges and promote agricultural sustainability.

In a meeting with Asad Majeed, Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization, in Islamabad on Wednesday, the minister emphasized the importance of adopting modern agricultural technologies. He highlighted the successful implementation of aeroponics technology, which has led to increased potato production in Pakistan.

Rana Tanveer Hussain stated that comprehensive reforms are underway in the agricultural sector. He acknowledged food security as a global concern and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to overcoming this challenge.

The government aims to continue its mission of agricultural sustainability, economic growth, and food security through innovation and strategic reforms. During the meeting, Asad Majeed extended an invitation for Pakistan to participate in various EU-led agricultural initiatives.
