Karachi: Pakistan’s textile industry reached a pivotal moment with the Textile Asia 2025 Exhibition, drawing over 67,000 trade visitors and facilitating trade agreements valued at $550 million. Supported by the Special Investment Facilitation Council, this three-day event emerged as South Asia’s largest textile conference.
The exhibition, held under the ‘e-Commerce Gateway Pakistan’ initiative, saw participation from over 500 companies representing more than 20 countries. The focus of the conference was on advanced technologies, automation, and sustainability within the textile sector.
International contributions from countries such as Turkey, China, and Russia were notable, reinforcing Pakistan’s standing as a global leader in textiles. Dr. Khurshid Nizam, President of ‘e-Commerce Gateway Pakistan,’ highlighted the event’s role in realizing Pakistan’s ambitious vision for the textile industry.
Project Director Azir Nizam emphasized that the exhibition exceeded expectations, setting a new benchmark for exports, investments, and international partnerships. This achievement is seen as a crucial advancement in strengthening Pakistan’s textile industry on the global stage.
