Srinagar, October 09, 2021 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian police have arrested hundreds of Kashmiris who are being tortured and terrorized in different police stations of the territory. The police during house raids in last couple of days have arrested around 300 Kashmiris from Srinagar, Shopian, Badgam, Ganderbal, Pulwama, Islamabad, Kulgam, Baramulla and other areas.

Among those arrested by the police, at least 40 persons are Hurriyat activists and members of Jamaat-e-Islami from different areas of Shopian district. Indian police also summoned over 70-year-old women in different police stations in Srinagar for questioning.

The police have unnecessarily creating an atmosphere of terror and horror in the valley after 5 August 2019 and youth are being arrested and aged women are being summoned to police stations for questioning for the last two days without any reason, an eyewitness told media men in Srinagar. He added that elderly women are asked to come to the police stations where they are harassed and asked not to support the freedom movement.
