Jammu, October 19, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested senior officer of the Border Security Force (BSF) in connection with police recruitment scam. The CBI arrested the BSF Commandant and Medical Officer, Dr Karnail Singh, posted at Paloura Headquarters in Jammu in connection with Sub-Inspectors recruitment scam. Officials said Dr Karnail Singh was called for questioning by the CBI on Tuesday. However, he didn’t give satisfactory replies and was formally arrested, they said.

They said that this is the ninth arrest in the scam while eight other persons arrested in connection with the scam are already in the jail. Karnail Singh, as per the officials, had leaked the paper to around a dozen students at his residence at Ganesh Nagar in Jammu including his son Shubam Kala. With 132 marks, Shubam Kala was among the top 10 performers in the exam, which has now been cancelled. As per reports, the BSF Commandant had charged Rs 15 lakh per beneficiary for giving them the question with answers ahead of the exam.
