India Faces Unyielding Resistance in Kashmir, Says Federal Minister

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Engineer Amir Muqam, has declared that despite enduring hardships, the people of Kashmir remain steadfast in their pursuit of self-determination. Speaking at a Kashmir Conference held at Kashmir House in Islamabad, Muqam emphasized that India’s efforts have not subdued the determination of the Kashmiri people.

Addressing attendees at the conference organized by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK), Muqam asserted that as long as there is a single Pakistani alive, the Kashmir issue will persist. He highlighted the plight of thousands of Kashmiris currently imprisoned in Indian jails, along with the detained leadership of the freedom movement.

Muqam reiterated that the spirit of the Kashmiri struggle is undiminished, with an intensified determination for their right to self-determination. He stressed that Pakistan will continue to stand by the people of occupied Kashmir.

Additionally, Muqam pointed out Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s forthright address on the Kashmir issue at the United Nations, underscoring Pakistan’s commitment to the cause. The conference saw participation from notable figures including PML-N leader Raja Zafar ul Haq, Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq, and various political and Hurriyat leaders.
