Islamabad: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has committed to a fair and transparent recruitment process for more than 1,700 vacancies in the Islamabad Police. This recruitment drive is being conducted under strict adherence to merit and prescribed procedures, with the National Police Foundation overseeing physical endurance and running tests for candidates across various test centers nationwide.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the recruitment process involves assessing candidates’ physical fitness, endurance, and adherence to uniform criteria to ensure fairness and transparency at every stage. IGP Rizvi has personally reviewed the ongoing recruitment efforts, directing officers to guarantee equal opportunities for all candidates and emphasizing the need for a transparent and merit-based process. Only those who are capable, physically fit, and professionally competent will be inducted into the force.
Senior officials, including DIG Headquarters Muhammad Ateeq Tahir, DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, and DIG Security Rana Umar Farooq, have been actively inspecting test centers to ensure compliance with the established procedures. They have focused on maintaining merit, transparency, and security throughout the recruitment process.
Other senior officers have also monitored the procedures at different recruitment centers across the country. These centers are equipped with amenities such as shaded tents, clean drinking water, and first aid facilities, ensuring a comfortable environment for candidates. Security and crowd management measures have been put in place to maintain order and safety.
IGP Rizvi has reiterated his commitment to completing the recruitment process in strict accordance with the principles of merit, transparency, and fairness, rejecting any form of recommendation or unlawful influence. He emphasized that recruiting the best candidates is critical to enhancing the professionalism and efficiency of the Islamabad Police.
