Islamabad: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry convened a pivotal meeting with key officials, including Director General Safe City Islamabad Mustansar Feroz and DIG Islamabad Ali Wasim, to evaluate the Safe City monitoring system, technological advancements in policing, and public service delivery improvements. According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting focused on enhancing security systems through modern technology, coordinating strategies to improve police services, and ensuring development projects meet prescribed standards and timelines.
In another significant meeting, IGP Chaudhry and Managing Director of the National Police Foundation Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi discussed the progress of ongoing construction projects. The MD briefed the IGP on various sites’ status, highlighting the need for maintaining construction standards and effective resource use. Officers were instructed to monitor progress closely and ensure quality is upheld throughout the projects.
Following the meetings, IGP Chaudhry, accompanied by MD Rizvi, visited development projects at Police Lines Headquarters, inspecting construction work and emphasizing the importance of timely completion and adherence to approved standards. The IGP stressed that projects aimed at enhancing facilities for police officers should be executed with effective supervision and planning.
Additionally, IGP Chaudhry addressed complaints from citizens and police officers at the Central Police Office, directing relevant officers to resolve issues according to law and merit. He highlighted the need to prioritize the legitimate concerns of police officers and personnel.
IGP Chaudhry reiterated his dedication to integrating modern technology in policing, boosting professional capabilities, and completing development projects on time. He reaffirmed that protecting citizens’ lives and property, improving policing standards, and ensuring prompt public relief are paramount objectives for Islamabad Police, with all resources committed to achieving these goals.
