Islamabad: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi convened key meetings with senior police officials to assess the law and order situation, policing, and technology initiatives in the federal capital. The meetings focused on the timely resolution of citizens’ complaints and the progress of various Safe City and Information Technology projects.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, DG Safe City/DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joiya, SSP Safe City Shehzada Umar Abbas, and Director IT Atif Abbas provided updates on ongoing Safe City projects and the use of modern technology. Discussions included strategies for improving the policing system and enhancing services for citizens.

IGP Rizvi set new targets for officers, stressing the importance of monitoring project progress to ensure citizens benefit from modern policing. He also received briefings on investigative and legal matters, emphasizing timely resolution of cases and improved quality of investigations.

Highlighting the importance of modern technology and strong coordination, IGP Rizvi reaffirmed the priority of delivering effective and transparent police services. He directed officers to enhance efforts for crime prevention and law enforcement, underscoring the need for mutual cooperation across departments to strengthen the policing system.

IGP Rizvi reiterated his commitment to aligning Islamabad Police with modern policing needs, focusing on capacity building and effective oversight to provide better services to the citizens of Islamabad.
