Islamabad: In a recent meeting at the Central Police Office, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi instructed for increased vigilance in the Red Zone as part of enhanced security measures. The meeting, held with Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Security Rana Umar Farooq, focused on reviewing security protocols across the federal capital, particularly concerning key government sites and sensitive installations.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting involved a comprehensive assessment of the security division’s performance, addressing current challenges, and evaluating the management of security duties during the movement of national and international dignitaries. The discussion also covered strategies for various important occasions.

DIG Security Rana Umar Farooq provided a briefing on the readiness and response mechanisms of police officers stationed in the Red Zone, diplomatic enclaves, government buildings, and other crucial areas. He emphasized that the Islamabad Police are consistently prepared to maintain law and order and ensure the security of sensitive locations.

Farooq further noted that security across the city is being enhanced through modern technology, including Safe City cameras, effective patrolling, and snap checks, to ensure a secure environment for citizens.

IGP Rizvi reiterated the commitment to utilizing all resources for the protection of citizens and the stability of sensitive locations. He instructed officers to focus on the security of the Red Zone and key government sites while improving the training and discipline of deployed personnel.
