IGP Islamabad Evaluates Law and Order and Police Affairs in High-Level Meetings

ISLAMABAD: In a series of high-level meetings held at the Central Police Office, the IGP Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, reviewed the overall law and order situation in the federal capital, focusing on various aspects of police operations, including patrolling and security arrangements.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, IGP Rizvi chaired the meetings attended by key officials, including DG Safe City Muhammad Haroon Joya and DIG Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar, alongside AIGs, SSPs, and SPs. The discussions centered on the effectiveness of citywide patrolling, the efficiency of police checkpoints, and security measures implemented in the Red zone. Additionally, the safety protocols for foreign delegations were assessed.

IGP Rizvi emphasized the importance of facilitating the public, instructing officers to prioritize public service. He highlighted that the welfare of police personnel is crucial for effective service delivery. The IGP also reviewed ongoing reforms in the investigation system, training enhancements at the Capital Police College, and police welfare projects.

Further discussions involved evaluating the progress of Safe City Islamabad expansion projects and various technology-driven initiatives. IGP Rizvi directed that public service delivery should meet contemporary standards. Key measures for timely resolution of public complaints and improvements in legal processes were also addressed. The IGP instructed officers to enhance the complaints management system to ensure prompt and fair resolution of citizen grievances, aiming to strengthen public trust in the police.
