ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, convened a high-level meeting to assess the crime prevention strategy, investigation progress, and public safety measures in the capital. The meeting focused on intensifying operations against offenders, using modern technology for crime prevention, and enhancing interdepartmental coordination.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting included key figures such as DG Safe City/DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joiya, DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, SSP Investigation Muhammad Usman Tariq Butt, and other senior officers. A comprehensive review of the law and order situation, crime prevention measures, and the progress of investigations into severe cases was conducted.

IGP Rizvi directed officers to increase operations against criminal elements and ensure investigations are completed on merit, with strong evidence submitted to courts for successful prosecutions. He emphasized the use of modern technology and intelligence-led policing, along with the Safe City surveillance system, to bolster crime prevention efforts.

Further directives included improving interdepartmental coordination, maintaining effective emergency response mechanisms, and enhancing professional standards. Rizvi reiterated the importance of transparency, accountability, and impartial enforcement of the law as top priorities for the Islamabad Police, stressing the need for officers to perform their duties with integrity and professionalism.

The IGP reaffirmed that the Islamabad Police is committed to using all resources to maintain law and order, combat crime, and ensure the safety of citizens in the federal capital.
