IGP Islamabad Calls for Enhanced Community Policing and Police Welfare

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry has directed senior officers to expedite community policing projects and improve public facilities and police welfare. The directives came during a meeting chaired by the IGP, focusing on enhancing service delivery and communication between the police and citizens.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the IGP emphasized the importance of completing community policing initiatives in a timely manner and strengthening the connection between the police force and the public. He stressed that providing better citizen facilities and recognizing exemplary police work are key priorities for the Islamabad Police.

IGP Chaudhry also commended officers who have excelled in protecting citizens and property, issuing certificates of appreciation to those who have shown outstanding performance. He encouraged them to maintain their dedication and professionalism in serving the community.

To further support officers, the IGP held an Orderly Room in his office to address personal and departmental issues presented by police personnel. He provided immediate directives to ensure the prompt resolution of these matters, reiterating that the welfare of officers and effective community policing remain central objectives for the department.
