Karachi: Pakistan Navy Ship YARMOOK has conducted two successful counter-narcotics operations in the Arabian Sea, resulting in the seizure of narcotics valued at approximately $96 million. The operations, carried out at extended distances from the Pakistani coast, involved the interception of two dhows and the recovery of significant quantities of illegal substances.
According to ISPR, the operations led to the confiscation of around 850 kilogrammes of Ice and 2000 kilogrammes of Hashish and Cannabis from hidden compartments within the vessels. The seized narcotics are currently in custody and will be handed over to relevant authorities for further legal action.
These operations underscore the Pakistan Navy’s ongoing commitment to maintaining regional maritime security and combating illicit trafficking at sea. The successful missions highlight the Navy’s persistent presence and vigilance in the region.
