IG Sindh Commemorates International Volunteer Day, Honors Humanitarian Contributions

Karachi, IG Sindh Rifaat Mukhtar Raja, in a message marking International Volunteer Day, has emphasized the significance of this global observance. Celebrated annually on December 5th, including in Pakistan, the day honors the services of volunteers who selflessly contribute to humanitarian efforts worldwide.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh, highlights that International Volunteer Day is a time to recognize and appreciate the efforts of volunteers, also referred to as humanitarian ambassadors. IG Sindh stressed the importance of acknowledging their selfless service and the crucial role they play in assisting communities, especially in times of need.

IG Sindh reflected on the dedication of brave volunteers who have committed their lives to serving the nation, both in urban and rural areas, during challenging times. He also remarked on the integral role of Sindh police officers and youths, describing them as reliable members of society dedicated to protecting the rights, lives, and property of people without any vested interest.
