IG Punjab Takes Swift Action to Address Grievances of Police Personnel and Families


Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, convened a meeting with police personnel and their families at the Central Police Office, where he addressed their grievances and mandated immediate action to resolve their concerns.



According to Punjab Police, the meeting resulted in directives for senior officers to promptly address various issues faced by the personnel. IG Punjab instructed the Additional IG Punjab to review Sub-Inspector Shahid Razaq’s seniority application. Driver Constable Roheel Ashraf’s request for official accommodation led to a directive for the AIG Development to provide relief. For Driver Constable Muhammad Shafiq, whose application concerned an investigation matter, the DIG Investigation Lahore was tasked with necessary actions. Similarly, Constable Azhar Iqbal’s transfer request was forwarded to DIG Establishment-II for resolution. Sub-Inspector Wali Muhammad’s promotion-related application was directed to the Additional IG Punjab for consideration. Transfer requests from Lady Constables Tayyaba Khalid and Rukhsana Kausar were also addressed by the DIG Establishment-II. Other matters related to discipline, administration, promotions, and welfare measures were similarly acted upon.
