PTA Establishes Support Stall for Overseas Pakistanis at Convention

Islamabad: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has set up a dedicated stall at the Overseas Pakistanis Convention 2025 to provide streamlined telecom services and support to the diaspora. This initiative, in alignment with the Prime Minister’s vision, aims to facilitate overseas Pakistanis with guidance on telecom regulations, mobile device registration, and digital services.

The stall, operational from April 13 to 15 in Islamabad, offers a complimentary 120-day mobile registration service for expats during each visit. This service is designed to ensure uninterrupted connectivity for overseas Pakistanis during their stay in the country.

Senior officials and experts from the PTA are present at the stall to provide on-ground support. They are engaging with visitors through interactive displays and offering personalized assistance to address any telecom-related queries.

Maj. Gen. (R) Hafeez Ur Rehman, Chairman of PTA, highlighted the Authority’s dedication to supporting the Prime Minister’s digital inclusion goals. He remarked that the PTA is committed to facilitating hassle-free telecom services and promoting a digitally empowered nation for all Pakistanis, both domestically and internationally.
