IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Takes Action to Address Police Staff Concerns


Lahore, In a significant move to address the grievances and welfare needs of police personnel, Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, conducted a personal meeting with police employees and citizens at the Central Police Office. During this session, he issued several directives to provide immediate relief to the staff and their families based on their applications.



According to Punjab Police, the IG’s initiative underscores a commitment to the welfare of the force’s members, recognizing that resolving their issues is pivotal for enhancing their performance and morale. Dr. Anwar listened attentively to the submissions from the police workforce and their relatives, subsequently issuing orders to ensure their swift resolution.



Specific actions taken by IG Punjab included directing the DIG Welfare to address the financial aid appeals of Constable Sajjad Hussain and Ghazi Constable Ghulam Murtaza promptly. Additionally, Dr. Anwar took steps to facilitate the employment of Shahid Ashfaq as a junior clerk on a family claim and addressed the reinstatement service request of Ghazi Constable Osama Umair.



Furthermore, on a citizen’s complaint, Dr. Anwar ordered immediate law enforcement action to ensure justice. He also reviewed and forwarded promotion requests for six Lahore Police personnel, emphasizing merit-based decisions, and approved financial assistance for another police member.



These directives reflect a proactive approach to governance within the Punjab Police, aiming to foster a motivated and well-supported police force capable of delivering superior public service.
