IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Allocates Over 12 Lakh Rupees for Police Health Welfare

Lahore, in a significant move to enhance the health welfare of police officials, Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has allocated more than 12 lakh rupees for medical expenses and treatment of police personnel. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to expedite welfare measures for officers and personnel suffering from medical ailments.

According to Punjab Police, the funding has been distributed to several police officials facing health challenges. ASI Raja Shahid Mehmood of Rawalpindi received two and a half lakh rupees for his wife’s treatment. Constable Muhammad Saeed was allotted 02 lakh 50 thousand rupees for his wife’s liver treatment. Similarly, Sub-inspector Muhammad Anwar was granted Rs.02 lakh for open-heart surgery, while Faisalabad constable Sajid Mehmoodul Hasan received Rs.01 lakh for heart disease treatment. Tele Transport Punjab constable Sarwar Ahmed was also given Rs.01 lakh for leg treatment.

Furthermore, Inspector Amanat Ali, Head Constable Qayyum Ali, and Constable Barkat Aslam each received 70 thousand rupees for their medical treatments. Head Constable Muhammad Tahir and Constable Muhammad Farooq Anwar were provided 50 thousand rupees each for the treatment of Muhammad Farooq Anwar’s daughter.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has instructed to continue robust measures for the health welfare of the police force, with a particular focus on constables. He emphasized that no ailing police officer or their family members should be left to battle illness alone. Dr. Anwar also directed officers to promptly complete and submit documents related to health welfare from their respective districts to the central police office, ensuring swift action and relief for the officials in need.
