Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem has announced the release of Rs. 3.04 million to support the medical treatment of Punjab Police personnel and their families. This initiative underscores the department’s focus on the welfare of its force and their dependents.

According to Punjab Police, the funds have been allocated to cover various medical expenses. Constable Muhammad Mohsin will receive Rs. 430,000, and Constable Talha Zubair is granted Rs. 300,000 for surgery. Constable Tasawar Hussain’s wife will benefit from Rs. 250,000, and Constable Umar Zaman is provided Rs. 200,000 for heart surgery. Retired personnel, including Plumber Muhammad Bilal and Traffic Warden Khawahish Ali Shah, will each receive Rs. 200,000 for their treatments.

Further disbursements include Rs. 100,000 each to Inspector Rashid Mehmood, Constable Muhammad Iqbal, Lady Constable Sundas, Driver Constable Tanveer Hussain, and retired Driver Constable Muhammad Feroz. Additionally, Rs. 340,000 will be shared by Constable Nazakat Ali, Traffic Assistant Muhammad Bashir, and Driver Constable Tariq Mehmood. Sub-Inspector Abid Hussain, Head Constable Muhammad Sohail, and EDC Operator Rab Nawaz will collectively receive Rs. 300,000, while Constable Junaid Azeem, Ghareeb Alam, and Asjad Ali will share Rs. 225,000. ASI Maqsood Ali and Driver Constable Abdul Hafeez will obtain Rs. 95,000 together.

IG Punjab Abdul Kareem approved the funds after the Medical Financial Assistance Committee’s scrutiny and emphasized the priority of ensuring the well-being of police employees and their families. The Punjab Police is also enhancing medical treatment facilities through partnerships with various institutions.
