IG Punjab Addresses Police Employees’ Concerns, Orders Immediate Relief

Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, recently met with police employees and their families to address their issues and concerns. During the meeting, he issued directives for immediate relief on various requests, demonstrating a commitment to addressing the welfare of the police force.

According to a statement by Punjab Police, Dr. Anwar ordered the Additional IG Punjab to facilitate the transfer request of Inspector Abdul Shakoor. In response to a request from the husband of the late Lady Constable Samina Latif, the DIG Welfare and Finance was directed to provide necessary relief. Similarly, relief measures were ordered for Senior Traffic Warden Nazir Ahmed Shah through the DIG Organized Crime Unit Lahore.

Further, the DPO Okara was instructed to attend to the concerns of Lady Constable Gulshan Zulfiqar. Financial aid requests from retired Constable Muhammad Riaz and Constable Maqsood Ahmed were also addressed, with the DIG Welfare and Finance tasked with providing relief.

In addition to these specific cases, Dr. Anwar issued orders on several other matters concerning discipline, administration, promotion, and welfare, as part of his ongoing efforts to support police employees and their families.
